What's a Beta account?
It's not a trial — it's a thank-you. Sign up while QRLife is in beta and your account keeps every feature, free for life, for as long as you're actually using it. You're not a beta tester; you're an early owner helping us shape the product.
Will my cards break after beta?
Never. Every QR code you create is permanent — scanned daily or sitting quietly on a box in your attic for fifty years, it keeps working. That's not marketing, it's a written commitment: read the 99-Year Promise at qrlife.me/promise.
What does "free for life while in use" mean?
Simple: your account just needs a heartbeat. Sign in at least once a year and everything stays exactly as it is. If your account goes quiet, we email you before anything changes, and even an archived account keeps its free-for-life status — come back whenever, verify your email, and pick up where you left off. Your codes keep working the entire time, no matter what.
How many Beta accounts are there?
Exactly 500 — the live counter on this page is the real number. When they're claimed, the beta closes and new accounts will choose between a free tier and paid plans: subscribe to try things out, or buy your codes once and own them for life. The only way to guarantee the free-for-life deal is to grab a Beta account while they exist.
What happens if I stop paying (once paid plans exist)?
Nothing breaks. Your codes go static — locked on the last destination you set, still scanning, still working. Think of it like pencil vs. engraved: dynamic means you can rewrite where a code points anytime; static means it's engraved — permanent, and permanently yours. Editable is what you'll pay for. Engraved is free, forever.
Is there a scan limit?
No. Never. Every code you create has unlimited scans — free plan included. Some competitors cap scans and charge you more when your code takes off; we think that's charging you for succeeding. Honestly, we WANT your code scanned a million times — every card says "Powered by QRLife" at the bottom, so your success is our advertising. The only exception: scan traffic that's part of a scam or abuse under our Terms gets stopped. Legitimate use is never metered.
Beta accounts won't last forever.
